📋 Description

• Own claims when injury exposure is identified, including catastrophic injuries, fatalities, and litigated claims • Manage claims through conclusion, including trial, with limited oversight • Handle complex first- and third-party auto liability, medical payment, and PIP claims • Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle claims • Collaborate with and direct defense counsel on litigation strategy and resolution • Provide settlement authority and participate in mediations, settlement conferences, arbitrations, trials, and depositions as needed • Make coverage determinations and advise customers on coverage-related courses of action • Conduct complex investigations, including interviewing witnesses and analyzing medical records and other evidence • Evaluate defense counsel fees and costs for reasonableness • Evaluate subrogation potential and initiate subrogation requests • Develop negotiating strategies and make settlement decisions within authority • Present cases to committees when seeking authority above the settlement limit • Develop and present executive claim summaries to clients and internal executives • Handle commercial products and claims across geographic venues and vehicle types • Comply with insurance program agreements and claim service level agreements • Mentor, train, and coach other adjusters

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of claims experience • 3+ years of experience in a Casualty claims role within the P&C insurance industry • Minimum 1 year in a Senior Casualty role or equivalent Complex Casualty/Litigation experience • BA/BS in business, insurance, or a related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Must hold an adjuster license for all applicable states or obtain licenses within 90 days of filling the position as a condition of employment • 6+ years of Casualty claims adjuster experience • 3+ years of experience in a Commercial claims role • Proficiency or ability to obtain proficiency in handling minor, moderate, and complex litigated claims • Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the United States • Must not require immigration support now or in the future • Bilingual ability is a plus
