📋 Description

• Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on electrical distribution equipment • Communicate with internal and external customers to schedule jobs and order materials • Perform safety analysis and paperwork before starting work • Execute hands-on startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery equipment • Work with transformers, switchgear, OCBs, circuit breakers, busways, UPS, ATS, PLCs, relays, power management control systems, and related equipment • Lead outages with field engineers, technicians, contractors, project managers, and site engineers • Write technical reports, job status reports, customer reports, timesheets, and expense sheets • Plan and perform multifunctional field assignments and direct field engineers and craft labor • Plan, prepare, and instruct internal and external training programs • Maintain timely and accurate field information in reporting systems • Control costs and safeguard company equipment and capital investments • Drive customer satisfaction and identify new service opportunities with ABB sales/service teams • Develop proposals and execute work scopes while minimizing risk and ensuring compliance

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering/Engineering Technology OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 additional years of related engineering/field experience • Minimum of 2 years of field engineering experience • Demonstrated ability to build strong interpersonal and customer service skills • Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision • Strong business acumen • Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 75% as required • Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid passport and driver's license • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen • Preferred: Knowledge of industrial customer base in geographical area • Preferred: Technical skills in testing power distribution and delivery, including Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Breakers, Switchgear, Relays, and Transformers • Preferred: Experience repairing and refurbishing LV and MV circuit breakers, including Siemens, GE, ABB, Square D, Multilin relays, and Switzer Relays • Preferred: Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting medium voltage synchronous machines, excitation systems, control systems, and Programmable Logic Controllers
