📋 Description

• Execute service work of medium to high complexity according to work instructions and ABB guidelines • Deliver excellent customer service and identify opportunities in the installed base to improve system and operational performance • Conduct work activities in compliance with ABB HSE, ABB Way, Safety Manual and Safety policy • Execute projects hands-on, including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design and repair of Power Delivery equipment and controls • Lead outages with field engineers, technicians and contractors, including project management, lead site engineer or lead site project manager responsibilities • Write technical reports, order materials, secure quotations, prepare job status reports and customer reports, complete time sheets and expense sheets, and perform cost control activities • Plan, organize and perform multifunctional field assignments • Direct the work of other field engineers and craft labor as required • Develop and expand technical knowledge and expertise in current industry standards • Plan, prepare and/or instruct internal and external training programs

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years relevant field engineering experience • Technical skills in testing of power distribution and delivery, including Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Breakers, Switchgear, Relays and Transformers • Experience in the repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers, including OEM equipment such as Siemens, GE, ABB, SquareD, Multilin relays, and Schweitzer Relays • Experience in testing, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting of medium voltage synchronous machines, including excitation systems, controls systems and Programmable Logic controllers is a plus • Up to 75% domestic travel • Knowledge of industrial customer base in geographical area • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US; ABB is unable to sponsor an employment visa
