• Provide technical onsite and offsite support and expertise for site work requests • Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of ABB Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) • Prepare spare parts, test tools and equipment, and complete required documentation • Submit detailed and comprehensive service reports in a timely manner and follow up when needed • Coordinate activities with related groups to achieve objectives efficiently and ensure customer satisfaction • Communicate and present information to top management, customers, vendors, and other employees • Provide feedback on product quality issues to reduce warranty costs • Work in industrial settings, including hands-on interaction with advanced equipment, working at heights, varying weather conditions, and around energized systems
• Associate degree in a technical field and 3 years of relevant experience, or high school diploma/GED and 5 years of relevant experience, or military education/experience required • Valid driver’s license • Authorization to work in the United States • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, from field technicians to senior management • Ability to read, write, and speak English • Ability to travel 70% of the time • Experience with medium-voltage drives and power electronics preferred • Knowledge of motors, transformers, switchgear, and industrial communication protocols preferred • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical documentation preferred • Previous field service experience preferred • Ability to work at heights, in varying weather conditions, and around energized systems • Safety awareness and professionalism are essential
