📋 Description

• Provide technical onsite and offsite support for ABB Medium Voltage drives and systems • Respond to site work requests, telephone calls, and emails regarding installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and programming • Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of ABB Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Variable Frequency Drives for land-based and offshore wind applications • Coordinate activities with related groups to achieve objectives and ensure customer satisfaction • Prepare spare parts, test tools and equipment, and complete required documentation • Identify new service business opportunities in cooperation with customers and ABB teams • Report to the Service Manager • Execute work in a timely manner

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree and 7 years of relevant experience or High school diploma/GED and 9 years of relevant experience or military education/experience required • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field and 5 years of relevant experience highly preferred • Knowledge in LV and/or MV Drives, power electronics, motor drives, AC/DC converters, computer network communication protocol, and theory of operation • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time • Willingness to work 12+ hour days on short notice for extended amounts of time • Willingness to be on a seven-day and up to 21-day travel rotation
