📋 Description

• Execute medium- to high-complexity service work according to work instructions and ABB guidelines • Deliver excellent customer service and identify opportunities in the installed base to improve system and operational performance • Conduct work in compliance with ABB HSE, ABB Way, Safety Manual and Safety policy • Execute projects hands-on, including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design and repair of Power Delivery equipment and controls • Lead outages with field engineers, technicians and contractors • Perform project management and lead-site/project-manager functions as required • Write technical reports, order materials, secure quotations, prepare job status and customer reports, complete timesheets and expense sheets, and perform cost-control activities • Plan, organize and perform multifunctional field assignments • Direct the work of field engineers and craft labor as required • Develop and expand technical knowledge in line with industry engineering standards • Plan, prepare and/or instruct internal and external training programs

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years relevant experience • Technical skills in testing power distribution and delivery, including Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Breakers, Switchgear, Relays and Transformers • Experience repairing and refurbishing LV and MV circuit breakers, including Siemens, GE, ABB, SquareD, Multilin relays, and Schweitzer Relays • Experience in testing, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting of medium voltage synchronous machines, including excitation systems, controls systems and Programmable Logic controllers, is a plus • Up to 75% domestic travel • Knowledge of industrial customer base in geographical area • Must already have work authorization permitting work for ABB in the US; ABB cannot sponsor an employment visa
