📋 Description

• Lead and execute complex hardware installations, configurations, and upgrades for Ciena networking equipment at customer sites • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for Ciena products and solutions • Design and implement technical solutions for customer networks • Develop detailed technical solution designs and network architecture recommendations • Perform network management system (NMS) integration and optimization • Configure and troubleshoot network protocols, especially routing and switching technologies • Collaborate with engineering, sales, project management, and external stakeholders • Communicate complex technical information through written documentation and presentations • Manage stakeholder expectations and build relationships with customers and partners • Act as a trusted technical advisor • Identify and resolve problems efficiently • Negotiate technical requirements and solutions with customers • Proactively identify and manage potential conflicts

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in a field service engineering role • Strong background in hardware installations and technical support for networking equipment • Extensive knowledge of network protocols • Hands-on experience with routing and switching technologies • Demonstrated expertise in network management system (NMS) operation and integration • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to troubleshooting • Strong technical solution design capabilities • Excellent communication, presentation delivery, and technical writing skills • Proven ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships and manage stakeholders effectively • Experience in conflict management and negotiation within a customer-facing environment • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
