• Facilitate project management of implementation and integration of customer point-of-care solutions • Take responsibility for post-close activities to shorten implementation-to-revenue time, targeting 60 days • Lead product installation and integration using implementation best practices • Coordinate customers, Point of Care Sales Specialists, and other resources for successful i-STAT utilization and adoption • Protect base business and reduce loss and declining business in collaboration with field sales • Cultivate growth opportunities in targeted accounts as a pre-close laboratory technical specialist • Support pre-close implementation activities to expand product portfolio sales and develop new business • Restructure institutional processes to better facilitate patient care using APOC products • Deliver educational presentations to physicians, nurses, medical directors, departmental staff, and hospital administration • Improve implementation efficiencies and reduce timelines for large-volume, high-priority, and complex implementations • Develop and execute implementation strategies and lead or participate in cross-functional teams • Develop and direct practices, projects, programs, and initiatives to maximize cartridge utilization • Direct resources to deliver superior front-line customer support • Understand customer needs and articulate point-of-care testing benefits • Manage multiple products, implementations, and sales cycles • Demonstrate product expertise and conduct product demonstrations • Cultivate relationships with internal and external customer stakeholders • Complete administrative tasks promptly and accurately • Mentor and train new staff and serve as a lead implementation personnel and peer leader • Travel extensively to support business goals • Comply with EHS policies, procedures, guidelines, and Abbott’s Code of Business Conduct • Implement and maintain Quality System effectiveness
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Medical Technology, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, or a related field • Associate degree acceptable with additional experience and demonstrated competence • Typically requires 3–5 years of healthcare industry experience, including 3+ years in project management • 3+ years working in healthcare, with 1+ year in a clinical hospital position preferred • 3 years of project management experience and/or demonstrated leadership role • Ability to maintain momentum across multiple products, implementations, and sales cycles • Ability to manage projects with multiple stakeholders and process owners • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately • Ability to form and develop interpersonal and professional relationships • Initiative, problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills • Aptitude with databases and other computer software • Ability to speak confidently in public and lead training groups • Ability to work independently and in groups • Leadership, initiative, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills • Strong organization, time-management, and project-management skills • Superior customer-service background managing facility-stakeholder relationships • Must live within the South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, or Florida territory • Willingness and ability to travel by all means of transportation, including overnight travel, up to 80% of the time • Ability to understand and comply with applicable EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines • Ability to implement and maintain Quality System effectiveness • Adherence to Abbott Code of Business Conduct
