📋 Description

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in Abbott instrumentation, automation, and workflow solutions • Optimize configurations of automated diagnostics systems, laboratory automation systems, and system integrations • Conduct solution assessments, customer data analytics, and workflow analyses • Build and maintain key legacy account relationships through solution optimization engagements • Conduct design and optimization workshops • Investigate, report, and present findings to customers and internal teams • Aid sales teams in positioning value expansion opportunities and renewing customer contracts • Coordinate on-site assessments and create and deliver executive presentations • Develop and execute training programs and tools for the Technical Solution Design team • Drive technical differentiating sales positioning and strategy against competitor products • Develop and implement automation, informatics, and professional services strategies for complex strategic customers and health systems • Serve as a technical expert and communication link among US customers, US sales and service teams, and international counterparts • Partner with Abbott US marketing to develop and disseminate product knowledge • Assess and modify instrumentation, informatics, laboratory middleware, and automation software • Optimize customer specimen routing across automation systems • Provide high-level instrument and automation training to internal and external customers • Review and modify customer instrument reagent plans • Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system • Identify workflow and process issues affecting laboratory hardware and software performance • Suggest process and procedure changes to improve product delivery, installation, and implementation • Optimize installed Abbott Automation solutions and provide technical insight supporting contract renewals • Provide customer presentations, training, and product demonstrations • Mentor and coach Technical Solution Design Specialists • Manage sales objectives and customer satisfaction to grow the business

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required • Master's degree a plus • 10+ years in one or more of the following areas: selling technical products, services, installations, and configurations of automated diagnostics systems, laboratory automation systems, and system integrations; clinical laboratory science and laboratory operations and workflows; modifying informatics, laboratory middleware, and automation software; conducting data analyses and utilizing data mining software specific to instrumentation and automation platforms • Advanced technical knowledge of Abbott instrumentation, automation, informatics, and workflow solutions • Ability to conduct customer data analysis using analytic and data mining software • Candidates must be based in a US Metro with an available airport • Ability to travel up to 75%
