• Execute the annual Key Opinion Leader (KOL) strategy within the assigned area • Contribute to the U.S. Medical Aesthetics marketing plan through KOL and emerging-account relationship management • Partner with sales leadership and Commercial Directors to select, manage, and plan KOL relationships • Plan and execute programs educating and positively impacting KOLs and healthcare providers • Develop and communicate market support aligned with approved product strategy and messaging • Collaborate with Marketing, Strategic Communications, Allergan Practice Consultants, Strategic Account teams, Sales Heads, Allergan Medical Institute, Public Relations, MSL, and Global Commercial Development teams • Coordinate with all four U.S. Medical Aesthetics cash-pay franchises • Oversee relationships with existing KOLs, next-generation KOLs, and emerging market leaders • Develop relationships with key decision-makers, thought leaders, and stakeholders to increase Allergan’s presence and competitive position • Develop VIPs, speakers, trainers, and Allergan advocates in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements • Create KOL plans and leverage U.S. Facial Aesthetics services across franchises • Increase KOL satisfaction by addressing concerns and needs • Coordinate KOL communications and presence at major medical meetings • Build and maintain the TEN app or KOL tracking platform • Identify and pursue meaningful programs at key accounts • Organize Market Insights Programs for targeted KOL accounts • Identify next-generation influential KOLs and develop area- or region-level opportunities and special projects • Liaise with sales teams on product and portfolio opportunities • Attend key industry society meetings and engage area-level KOLs • Coordinate receptions, dinners, symposia, speakers, content, and agendas at society meetings • Attend approximately 10–12 society meetings per year
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education required • Master’s degree preferred • 10 or more years of sales and/or marketing management experience • Thorough knowledge of the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry • Ability to develop and execute key strategies • Ability to develop relationships with physicians, AHCPs, society meeting owners and leadership teams, and other healthcare professionals • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment • Ability to develop first-line managers and emerging leaders through peer influence and mentoring • Ability to monitor field activity and manage workloads, resources, budgets, expenses, and business operations • Ability to establish credible and effective customer relationships through strategic discussion and engagement • Ability to prioritize critical activities and relationships across all four Aesthetic Divisions • Technical expertise and business acumen • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills • Strong creative and conceptual thinking skills • Excellent presentation skills • Strong analytical, consulting, and business planning skills • Proven positive role model with superior leadership qualities • Experience working with finances and budgets • Willingness and ability to travel 75%+
