📋 Description

• Support uninsured, underinsured, and patients with limited benefit coverage or high out-of-pocket prescription and medical expenses who may qualify for the AbbVie Patient Assistance Program • Provide high-quality customer service to patients and healthcare providers for specialty prescription medication • Coordinate review of application documents • Conduct insurance investigations when applicable using payer calls, insurance intelligence, and web tools • Review financial documents for completeness and assess program eligibility • Provide expertise on medical and prescription insurance coverage, prior authorization processes, and alternate financial assistance opportunities • Apply program standards to approve or deny applications • Conduct outreach to obtain missing application information • Document patient cases in the CRM according to business rules and policies • Receive and handle incoming calls from patients and healthcare providers • Complete renewals and year-end recertifications • Assist with special projects within scope to improve reimbursement optimization when requested by management

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required • College or a 2-year Associate Degree preferred • 1–3 years’ experience within a call center, healthcare provider, PBM, Specialty Pharmacy, or Retail/Mail Order Pharmacy setting • Strong core insurance (Medical and Pharmacy Benefit) knowledge preferred • Knowledge of online benefit verification systems or similar experience strongly required • High-quality customer service skills • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask required • Strong analytical skills preferred • Ability to express ideas clearly in written and oral communications
