📋 Description

• Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field • Manage assigned territory and targeted accounts • Build strong customer relationships and solve customer needs • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives • Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluations • Handle objections, misunderstandings, and concerns to gain calls to action and close sales calls • Serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements • Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize customer coverage and frequency • Build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease, products, clinical topics, and sales • Share market intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with healthcare providers • Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates • Travel throughout the assigned territory, including Chattanooga, Cleveland, Dalton, Canton, and Rome

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required • At least five (5) years of experience with three (3) or more years within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred, plus a high school diploma/GED, when experience is used in lieu of a bachelor’s degree • Proven track record of success in selling • Solid presentation skills • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge • Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools • Strategic and critical thinking capabilities • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment • Documented success in leadership and support roles of increased responsibility • Valid driver’s license • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements • Ability to travel adequately to cover territory and attend overnight training events and sales meetings • English language proficiency verbally and in writing • Must satisfy all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials • Ability to adapt selling approach to customer style and behavior • Ability to develop sales strategies using findings • Ability to build collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams
