📋 Description

• Execute AbbVie brand strategy and tactics in the field • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives • Manage the assigned territory and targeted accounts • Build strong customer relationships and solve customer needs • Create pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations • Handle objections, concerns, and misunderstandings during sales calls • Develop and execute call plans to optimize coverage and frequency for key customers • Build knowledge of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, products, clinical information, and sales practices • Share market intelligence with in-field, brand, and sales management teams • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned health providers • Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates • Operate within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws and regulations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree: at least five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience, including three or more years preferred within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry, and a high school diploma/GED required • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge • Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools • Strategic and critical thinking capabilities • Ability to adapt selling approach to customer style and behavior • Proven track record of sales success and solid presentation skills • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment • Innovative problem-solving ability • Ability to influence others and serve as a credible resource • Collaborative partnership with district colleagues and matrix teams • Documented leadership and support success at district, region, or organizational levels • Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience preferred • English proficiency verbally and in writing • Must satisfy applicable health care industry representative credentialing requirements • Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain required credentials • Valid driver’s license • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test • Must meet safe driving requirements • Ability to drive a personal auto, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment
