📋 Description

• Execute AbbVie brand strategy and tactics in the field • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives • Manage the assigned territory and targeted accounts • Build customer relationships and solve customer needs to maximize short- and long-term sales performance • Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations • Handle objections, concerns, and misunderstandings and gain calls to action to close sales calls • Serve customer needs and build trusted customer relationships • Develop and execute call plans optimizing customer coverage and frequency • Build knowledge of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease, products, clinical information, and sales expertise • Share market intelligence with in-field, brand, and sales-manager teams • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned healthcare providers • Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates • Travel approximately 25% of the time

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience • At least five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, including three or more years within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred • High school diploma/GED required when using the experience alternative • Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge • Strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools • Strategic and critical thinking capabilities • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment • Ability to meet HCIR credentialing requirements, including possible background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses • English language proficiency verbally and in writing • Valid driver’s license • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements • Ability to travel adequately to cover the territory and attend overnight training events and sales meetings
