📋 Description

• Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field • Manage assigned territory and targeted accounts to maximize short- and long-term sales performance • Build strong customer relationships and solve customer needs • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives • Create pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations to improve sales performance • Handle objections and consistently secure logical calls to action on sales calls • Serve customer needs and build trusted relationships to achieve win-win agreements • Develop and execute call plans that optimize coverage and frequency for key customers • Build knowledge of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease, products, clinical topics, and sales • Share market intelligence with in-field, brand, and sales management teams • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with healthcare providers • Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates • Travel approximately 50% of the time

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience required • At least five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree • Three or more years of pharmaceutical, health, or science industry experience preferred • High school diploma or GED required • Proven track record of leadership success • Solid presentation skills • Strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools • Strategic and critical thinking capabilities • Ability to identify customer style and behavior and adapt the selling approach • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment • Sales performance experience within the relevant therapeutic area preferred • Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience preferred • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge preferred • English proficiency preferred • Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials • Valid driver’s license • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements • Ability to drive a personal or company vehicle or powered material-handling equipment
