📋 Description

• Directly manage, mentor, and elevate the medical billing team • Set clear KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and foster accountability and continuous improvement • Oversee end-to-end billing and collections across multiple states • Ensure compliance with state Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payer regulations • Manage high daily claim volumes • Identify bottlenecks, reduce denial rates, and optimize clean claim rate • Design, document, and implement standardized billing workflows and SOPs for new state launches • Liaise with Clinical to ensure documentation meets medical necessity and coding compliance guidelines • Collaborate with Care Operations to streamline intake-to-billing workflows and reduce front-end errors • Provide Expansion teams with regulatory and payer insights for new-territory rollouts • Track and report DSO, aging buckets, denial trends, and other financial metrics to executive leadership

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in medical billing • At least 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role • Proven experience managing billing operations across multiple states • Knowledge of diverse state-specific regulations and payer landscapes • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume claims environment • Experience with electronic health records and clearinghouses • Experience clearing complex denials at scale • Advanced proficiency with medical billing software • Advanced proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and clearinghouses such as Waystar and Availity • Excellent Excel and data skills • Experience in Home Health, Hospice, or Community-Based Care billing highly preferred • Prior startup or fast-growing healthcare company experience, including new market or state launches, preferred • Ability to create streamlined, scalable SOPs • Ability to translate billing concepts for clinical and operations teams • Analytical problem-solving skills
