Abuse Refuge Org (ARO) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support and guidance to individuals who have survived various forms of abuse. Operating globally, ARO offers innovative healing solutions like Norm Therapy®, which is specifically designed for survivors of abuse. This unique therapeutic method focuses on personalized healing journeys, addressing the complex needs of survivors through compassion and specialized techniques. ARO is also heavily involved in advocacy and raising awareness about different types of abuse, including child abuse, elder abuse, and financial abuse. Through fundraising, webinars, and community outreach, ARO aims to create a refuge and provide resources for those in need, promoting healing and empowerment among abuse survivors.

📋 Description

• Provides leadership, support, advocacy and vision to onboarding and offboarding coordinators and support staff • Works in collaboration with the Global Executive Director and HR Management • Oversees a team of supervisors working in Onboarding and Offboarding • Develops new strategies and programs to streamline the onboarding and offboarding process • Works with the onboarding team to bring in new volunteers • Ensures all necessary documentation recorded for new volunteers • Works with the offboarding team to remove inactive volunteers from all platforms • Communicates with managers in other departments about new team members • Works closely with recruiting the manager and other HR Supervisors to share best practices, provide assistance on critical needs and coordinate on global-level initiatives • Performs other related duties as assigned • Oversees the daily workflow of the department • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field a plus • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred • Thorough understanding of applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines • Strong supervisory and leadership skills • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment • Must be available to volunteer 10-15 hours a week
