📋 Description

• Manage litigation, government contracts disputes, bid protests, claims, and other contentious matters from pre-dispute through resolution • Serve as strategic legal lead by coordinating business stakeholders, directing outside counsel, and developing litigation and resolution strategies • Manage outside counsel, including strategy, staffing, budgets, work plans, and performance • Advise legal and business leadership on legal, financial, operational, and reputational risks • Conduct sensitive internal investigations involving legal, regulatory, ethics, security, employee misconduct, and policy compliance issues • Develop investigation plans, conduct witness interviews, evaluate evidence, prepare findings and recommendations, brief stakeholders, and support corrective actions • Advise on disputes and compliance matters under U.S. public procurement laws and regulations, including FAR, False Claims Act, and FAR Mandatory Disclosure Rule • Support responses to government investigations and enforcement matters involving DOJ, Offices of Inspectors General, and State Attorneys General • Oversee litigation holds, document preservation, e-discovery strategy, and internal coordination • Partner with Compliance, Security, Human Resources, Government Relations, Marketing and Communications, and business leadership • Support and promote a culture of ethics, integrity, and compliance • Report to the Lead Counsel for Litigation & Corporate Investigations

🎯 Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school • Eligibility for admission as Virginia Corporate Counsel • 4–7 years of legal experience in a nationally recognized law firm, government agency, corporate legal department, or combination thereof • Experience managing litigation, government investigations, or other complex disputes • Meaningful experience advising on U.S. federal government contracts and public procurement matters, including FAR and related procurement laws or regulations • Experience coordinating complex legal matters involving multiple internal stakeholders • Experience conducting internal investigations and developing practical, risk-based recommendations • Excellent judgment, analytical ability, and written and verbal communication skills • Ability to independently manage multiple complex matters while balancing competing priorities • Executive presence and ability to build trusted relationships across legal and business functions • Collaborative, business-oriented approach to solving complex legal problems • Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship • Bonus qualifications include bid protests, Contract Disputes Act claims, DFARS, False Claims Act investigations or litigation, DOJ/OIG/State Attorneys General investigations, significant e-discovery and document preservation, prior in-house legal experience, sensitive corporate or personnel misconduct investigations, active Top Secret clearance, and ability to commute to Arlington, Virginia periodically
