📋 Description

• Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and business process definition for transforming applications to modern web-based platforms in AWS cloud • Bridge meteorologists, operational users, and technical development teams • Analyze current applications, documenting functionality, workflows, and user requirements • Lead requirements sessions with meteorologists, forecasters, and stakeholders • Develop functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria • Create process flows, use cases, and user journey maps for meteorological workflows • Analyze operational impacts of transitioning desktop applications to web-based applications • Identify process improvements and enhanced functionality • Collaborate with UX/UI designers on operationally appropriate interfaces • Translate business requirements into technical specifications with technical teams • Validate solutions through testing and user acceptance • Develop end-user training materials and documentation • Maintain requirements traceability matrices and documentation artifacts • Facilitate stakeholder prioritization of features and requirements • Document integration requirements with application components and external systems • Support change management for the transition to web-based applications

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Meteorology, or related field • 5+ years of experience as a business analyst for software applications • Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills • Experience with business process modeling and workflow analysis • Proficiency with requirements management tools and methodologies • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Experience working with technical teams in software development projects • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Experience leveraging Generative AI development tools • Knowledge of best practices in GenAI prompting and reviewing generated content • Must have US work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship • Public Trust clearance level indicated
