📋 Description

• Create, analyze, and maintain digital mapping data using GIS • Support planning, design, and construction of Fiber and HFC networks • Support map requests for BSL State Challenges and FCC map updates • Provide technical assistance for GIS data maintenance and development • Create, compile, and maintain data for internal business requests • Support fiber optic and HFC network mapping using ArcGIS and ArcFM • Contribute to the development, design, and maintenance of GIS datasets, geodatabases, and ArcGIS applications • Collect, attribute, edit, clean, organize, and map spatial data using ESRI ArcGIS • Update parcel data using ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro and REGRID data entry • Provide advanced technical support for GIS-related projects • Research County, State, and Federal records and interpret maps, aerial photographs, and construction as-builts • Assist with GIS software specifications and standards for engineering, construction, maintenance, and network operations • Manage and maintain geospatial data for fiber and HFC route assets and schematics • Inventory capacities and status of existing fiber infrastructure • Perform calculations and apply coordinate systems and geodetic projections • Support GIS map requests for Legal, Market Expansion, and design teams • Ensure fiber infrastructure geospatial inventories follow GIS best practices • Perform other assigned duties as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Strong cartographic skills using ESRI’s ArcGIS Pro for digital and hard-copy presentation products • 5+ years of experience working in ESRI platforms such as ArcGIS and ArcFM • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on GIS • Experience producing or updating overlay maps showing information boundaries, utility locations, or topographic features on various base maps, scales, and coordinate systems • Experience handling multiple priorities and changing priorities efficiently under pressure • Proven customer service skills with internal teams, sense of urgency, attention to detail, and ability to handle situations diplomatically across organizational levels • Strong interactive communication and negotiation skills • Problem-solving aptitude • Experience with ArcGIS and ESRI • Understanding of outside plant design and construction techniques • Experience using Python and SQL programming languages is a plus • Experience using MyWorld, ArcFM, and AutoCAD is a plus • Job offer contingent on successfully passing background, drug screening, and reference checks
