• Manage daily departmental performance by managing resources, prioritizing tasks, and developing and monitoring metrics • Oversee the team’s day-to-day workload • Hire, coach, and develop direct reports, including training, development, and performance management • Facilitate communication and serve as a point of escalation or strategic contact • Lead or participate in cross-functional process improvement initiatives • Develop training plans and materials for onboarding and employee performance • Provide coaching, mentorship, performance feedback, and career development plans • Partner with HR on talent management, performance, employee relations, and development activities • Investigate clinical trial protocol testing requirements and determine testing facilities • Review and prepare pricing documents and correct discrepancies • Maintain relationships with ACM and referral laboratories • Provide scientific and technical information for client RFPs and RFIs • Coordinate testing methods with referral laboratories • Obtain and document referred testing information, including referral laboratory contracting • Channel information between Laboratory Operations and Sales • Alert leadership to issues involving study testing needs and referral laboratories • Assist with root cause analysis and implement improved work methods • Liaise with internal and external partners and participate in client teleconferences • Provide consultation to clinical trials operations and external clients • Update global SOPs and maintain templates and tools • Triage upcoming work and determine staffing capabilities and workload assignments • Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for internal and external clients • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline or a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist • Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience in a clinical setting, or a relevant regulated environment • 4 yrs clinical trials experience preferred • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Strong time management and organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines • Ability to work independently and in a team setting • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Generalist laboratory experience • Ability to lead and positively motivate others • Models a positive and solutions-oriented mindset • MT (ASCP) Certification – Preferred • Must respect patient confidentiality • Ability to work remotely in the United States
• Full-time schedule, 40 hours per week • Days schedule, Monday–Friday • Eligible for additional pay components
