• Lead accounting, valuation, costing, and financial management of inventory across multiple business divisions and warehouse locations • Own inventory accounting and financial reporting across multiple divisions and locations • Maintain accurate inventory valuation using standard cost, average cost, and other appropriate methodologies • Manage cost rolls, standard cost updates, cost adjustments, and inventory revaluations • Analyze purchase price variances, manufacturing variances, and inventory discrepancies • Ensure inventory subledgers reconcile to the general ledger • Partner with warehouse and manufacturing managers on physical inventories, cycle counts, inventory movement, and accuracy • Partner with Controllers to ensure accurate month-end and year-end financial reporting • Lead and support physical inventory counts and inventory audit activities • Develop and improve inventory controls, policies, and costing procedures • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and inventory reporting schedules • Support external auditors with inventory-related audit documentation • Recommend process improvements within ERP systems and inventory workflows • Travel domestically and internationally as needed, up to 25%, to support warehouse operations, inventory audits, ERP implementations, and finance initiatives • Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and partner with executive leadership
• Experience and qualifications are not provided in the posting; a full job description, including qualifications, is available upon request • Ability to work from anywhere in the U.S. • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed, up to 25% • Knowledge of inventory accounting, valuation, costing, and financial management • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP • Experience partnering with Operations, Warehouse Management, Supply Chain, Controllers, and Finance • Ability to work with standard cost, average cost, cost rolls, standard cost updates, cost adjustments, and inventory revaluations • Ability to analyze purchase price variances, manufacturing variances, and inventory discrepancies • Ability to reconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger • Ability to support physical inventories, cycle counts, inventory movement, inventory audits, and external auditors • Ability to develop and improve inventory controls, policies, and costing procedures • Ability to prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and inventory reporting schedules • Experience with ERP systems and inventory workflows
