📋 Description

• Guide patients through AdaptHealth using a patient-centered approach and effective communication • Respond to patient needs and provide an exceptional customer or patient experience • Collaborate with patients to positively affect health outcomes by providing the right products and services at the right time • Send letters to patients when contact cannot be made • Answer emails concerning patients’ needs in a timely manner • Follow through on emails and phone calls until patients are taken care of • Communicate professionally with internal and external customers • Recommend equipment that may improve quality of care • Troubleshoot concentrator and other equipment problems over the phone • Verify or obtain alternate contact information • Verify delivery addresses, delivery instructions, and telephone numbers for all orders • Review documentation for validity before processing orders • Use the most cost-effective delivery method for ordered items • Document delivery expectations, requests, and patient or family contacts using standard note formats • Choose appropriate order-routing locations and route non-care-team orders to the appropriate department or regional branch • Complete orders received via CMB, email, fax, or phone in a timely manner • Identify system or process trends and suggest changes to improve efficiency and create cost savings • Assist coworkers with call schedules and other assigned tasks • Participate in team activities, mentoring, and training • Assist in developing and maintaining staff reference materials and sharing information • Escalate patient concerns to a supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent • One (1) year work related experience in health care administrative, financial, or insurance customer services, claims, billing, call center or management regardless of industry • Senior level requires two (2) years of work-related experience and one (1) year of exact job experience • Exact job experience in a Medicare certified HME, Diabetic, Pharmacy, or home medical supplies environment that routinely bills insurance • Decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail • Strong verbal and written communication • Strong organizational skills with ability to follow through • Ability to work independently and follow detailed directives • Ability to recognize weaknesses in existing systems and processes, track results, and offer creative solutions • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks • Ability to learn new technologies and understand data flow and system interaction • Computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
