📋 Description

• Guide patients through AdaptHealth using a patient-centered approach and effective communication • Respond to patient needs and provide an exceptional customer or patient experience • Collaborate with patients to support positive health outcomes and provide appropriate products and services • Send letters to patients when contact cannot be made • Answer patient-needs emails in a timely manner and follow up on emails and phone calls until resolved • Communicate professionally with internal and external customers • Recommend equipment that can improve quality of care • Troubleshoot concentrator and other equipment problems over the phone • Verify or obtain alternate contact information, delivery addresses, instructions, and telephone numbers • Review documentation for validity before processing orders • Select cost-effective delivery methods and appropriate order-routing locations • Document delivery expectations, requests, and patient or family contacts using standard note formats • Route non-care-team orders to the appropriate department or regional branch • Complete orders received via CMB, email, fax, or phone in a timely manner • Identify system or process trends and propose changes to improve efficiency and create cost savings • Support departmental and organizational goals by assisting coworkers with call schedules and assigned tasks • Participate in team activities, mentoring, and training • Develop and maintain staff reference materials and facilitate information sharing • Escalate patient concerns to a supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent • One (1) year work related experience in health care administrative, financial, or insurance customer services, claims, billing, call center or management regardless of industry • Senior level requires two (2) years of work-related experience and one (1) year of exact job experience • Exact job experience includes tasks in a Medicare certified HME, Diabetic, Pharmacy, or home medical supplies environment that routinely bills insurance • Decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow through • Ability to work independently and follow detailed directives • Ability to recognize weaknesses in existing systems and processes, track results, and offer creative solutions • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks • Technical aptitude to understand data flow through systems and system interaction • Computer skills including Microsoft Office • FLSA classification: Non-Exempt
