• Monitor and measure a team of representatives responsible for accurate and timely data entry, inventory and service selection in key databases, referral-source communication, and patient-information notation • Ensure staff are appropriately trained and accountable for standards and goals • Resolve questions generated from phone calls • Identify root causes and improve processes • Maintain working knowledge of current HME products and services • Assist in setting and maintaining department standards • Conduct one-on-one and general staff meetings • Assist with training and remediation • Evaluate performance using key metrics • Ensure compliance with company and departmental procedures • Achieve quality audit goals through monitoring, coaching, and continuous feedback • Develop employee and team goals aligned with organizational goals • Manage department budget and expenses • Prepare reports for departments and leadership • Support achievement of Patient Experience scores • Select and hire qualified staff, oversee onboarding, and provide training and feedback • Communicate expectations; plan, monitor, and appraise results; coach, counsel, and discipline employees; develop and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards • Perform other related duties as assigned
• High school diploma or equivalent • Associate degree from an accredited college preferred • Two (2) years’ work-related experience in health care administrative, financial, or insurance customer services, claims, billing, call center or management regardless of industry is required • Exact job experience is considered any of the above tasks in a Medicare certified HME, IV or HH environment that routinely bills insurance • Ability to appropriately interact with patients, referral sources and staff • Decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail • Strong verbal and written communication • Excellent customer service and telephone service skills • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks • Ability to learn new technologies and technical aptitude to understand data flow through systems and system interaction • Effective relationship development skills • Conflict resolution skills • Team leadership skills • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and function within HIPAA guidelines • Company-conducted background check required for all roles • Motor Vehicle Record Check required for driving roles • Clinical roles require valid licensure/certification where applicable
