📋 Description

• Counsel clients or patients individually and/or within family sessions to assist with overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes • Accept referrals and maintain a client load • Make internal referrals to IOP if little to no improvement occurs within 8 weeks of outpatient therapy • Guide clients in developing skills or strategies for dealing with problems • Develop and implement treatment plans with SMART goals; complete within 72 hours after intake and update every 4 weeks • Complete and maintain client paperwork, diagnostic records, progress notes, treatment records, and reports • Complete progress notes within 48 hours after every session • Evaluate clients’ physical or mental condition based on client information • Collaborate with staff on clinical assessments and treatment plans within 2 days of establishing care • Refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or specialists as necessary • Maintain professional knowledge through literature, courses, seminars, and contact with social service agencies

🎯 Requirements

• Masters Degree from an accredited college or university • Two years of professional level experience in a counselor setting • Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker license in Virginia is required • Cross-licensure in Texas is required for this role prior to starting • Minimum client load of 18 hours per week • Preferred: 2+ years experience in healthcare with oncology • Preferred: 1 year experience in Telehealth Settings
