📋 Description

• Perform mechanical design and static and dynamic structural analyses at component, subsystem, and system levels for advanced spacecraft applications • Provide design recommendations based on analysis outputs and product manufacturability requirements • Develop comprehensive test plans and support test execution and data interpretation • Review, prepare, and release accurate, clear, and complete technical documentation • Evaluate design or scope changes and communicate impacts on cost, schedule, and technical performance • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, manufacturing personnel, vendors, coworkers, clients, and multi-location teams • Manage project schedules and budgets for timely, cost-effective program execution • Communicate regularly with customers, provide updates, address technical concerns, and align on program goals • Support Sales and Marketing in acquiring new bookings, including proposal development and customer engagement • Contribute to emerging thermal technologies and transition designs from concept to prototype and production

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience • Must meet the definition of a U.S. person in accordance with ITAR requirements • Strong understanding of engineering mechanics, including statics and strength of materials • Experience with structural analysis tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN, or similar • Proven ability to perform static and dynamic structural analyses • Experience in test planning, test execution support, and data analysis • Familiarity with composite materials is preferred • Ability to communicate the full engineering workflow from problem definition and analysis setup through results presentation and interpretation in reports and presentations
