Advanced Energy Systems - Colorado School of Mines & NLR is an interdisciplinary graduate engineering program created through a partnership between the Colorado School of Mines and the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR). The program educates and trains master’s and doctoral researchers to address the technical, economic, and environmental challenges of modern energy infrastructure, emphasizing secure, resilient, and adaptive systems. Students collaborate with faculty and NLR researchers, use shared state-of-the-art facilities, work with industry, government, and nonprofit partners, and prepare for careers solving large-scale energy-system problems.

📋 Description

• Gather requirements from business stakeholders and understand business processes and needs • Design and develop custom solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Apps and Power Automate • Create responsive, user-friendly Power Apps applications with complex logic integrations • Build and automate business processes using Power Automate, connectors, and custom workflows • Design and implement dashboards and reports to visualize data and provide insights • Integrate Power Platform solutions with external systems and data sources using connectors and APIs • Work with QA teams on testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure solution quality and performance • Analyze complex business processes and suggest technical solutions or improvements • Mentor other SharePoint developers on advanced topics • Evaluate new hardware, software, system tools, and applications and make procurement recommendations

🎯 Requirements

• Relevant Bachelor's Degree and 9 or more years of experience, or equivalent relevant education/experience • Alternatively, relevant Master's Degree and 7 or more years of experience, or relevant PhD and 4 or more years of experience • Must meet educational requirements prior to employment start date • Extensive information systems expertise in the specific field and full knowledge of related disciplines • Excellent leadership and project management skills • Skilled in analytical techniques, practices, and problem solving • Extensive programming and architecture abilities with various computer software programs and information systems • Extensive SharePoint Online experience • Experience with Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and SharePoint Online • Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card, including a favorable background investigation • Must pass a pre-employment drug test • Must be authorized to access the facility under Department of Energy rules and obtain work authorization • Must disclose and potentially disengage from prohibited Foreign Government Talent Recruitment Program participation
