📋 Description

• Perform archaeological fieldwork under the supervision of a Crew Chief, Field Director, and/or Principal Investigator • Perform a variety of tasks supporting project staff • Gather and maintain specified records of scientific data • Assist with environmental sampling, operations and maintenance, and inspections at client sites • Assist with calculations • Set up and operate equipment • Inspect equipment and installations for compliance with specifications • Maintain proper project documentation • Collect and enter data • Apply technical principles and theories under supervision • Support immediate field projects primarily in Ohio and Illinois • Work on an as-needed basis for projects expected to run through September–December and potentially longer, weather dependent

🎯 Requirements

• High School graduate • 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in archaeological fieldwork • Valid US Driver's License • Pre-employment driving record verification • US Citizenship required • Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field (preferred) • 3+ years of experience with archaeological survey, testing, excavation, and monitoring (preferred) • Completion of an archaeological field school (highly desired) • Experience with GPS and GIS (preferred) • Computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (preferred) • Flexibility to travel overnight for field work sessions
