📋 Description

• Perform archaeological fieldwork under the supervision of a Crew Chief, Field Director, and/or Principal Investigator • Work on an as-needed, remote, part-time, on-call basis • Perform a variety of tasks supporting project staff • Gather and maintain scientific data and project records • Assist with environmental sampling, operations and maintenance, and inspections at client sites • Assist with calculations • Set up and operate equipment • Inspect equipment and installations for compliance with specifications • Maintain proper project documentation • Collect and enter data • Apply technical principles and theories under supervision • Support immediate field projects primarily in Ohio and Illinois

🎯 Requirements

• High School graduate • 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in archaeological fieldwork • Valid US Driver's License • Pre-employment driving record verification • US Citizenship required • Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field preferred • 3+ years of experience with archaeological survey, testing, excavation, and monitoring preferred • Completion of an archaeological field school highly desired • Experience with GPS and GIS preferred • Computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred • Flexibility to travel overnight for field work sessions
