📋 Description

• Lead data center due diligence, planning, and design teams for greenfield and add/move/change colocation and hyperscale data center projects • Oversee projects from due diligence and campus planning through conceptual, schematic, and detailed design, construction documents, and construction administration • Deliver prototype development, test fitting, mass grading, stormwater management, utility prepositioning and design, and on- and off-site roadways • Develop and enforce multi-site project and program management plans • Host and attend meetings with clients and external stakeholders • Proactively manage and communicate project changes within AECOM and to clients • Identify and mitigate project risks with creative solutions • Provide project updates and resolve outstanding issues with stakeholders • Develop technical and financial proposals for new and add/move/change data center design projects • Build trusting relationships with clients and sub/partner consultants • Coach junior staff and support professional growth • Foster accountability, innovation, and strategic thinking • Collaborate with global AECOM data center teams on high-profile projects • Perform hands-on, client-facing work with occasional travel for meetings, milestones, onsite collaboration, or business-critical activities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, plus eight (8) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License • Demonstrated experience with colocation and hyperscale data center projects • Experience managing industrial and data center civil and utility infrastructure design • Background in civil engineering • Master’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering, or Business Administration (preferred) • Six years of relevant experience in industrial and data center design and/or project management (preferred) • Lean Six Sigma Certification (preferred) • Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Professional (preferred) • Active or recent leadership in a data center and mission-critical trade organization (preferred) • Excellent written and oral communication • Ability to work in dynamic, time-sensitive situations with minimal oversight • Team leadership skills • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills • Ability to work remotely from a location in the U.S. where AECOM has an office • Ability to attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office • Sponsorship is available for this role
