📋 Description

• Design automation and SCADA systems for mechanical and electrical systems on complex data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects • Coordinate with mechanical designers to develop control sequences, diagrams, and points lists • Coordinate with electrical designers on network architectures and points lists for electrical distribution and conditioning systems • Coordinate with ICT designers on structured Ethernet cabling interfaces • Design resilient OT networks using Ethernet and serial networks with wireless, fiber, and copper media • Develop basis of design for BAS, PLC, and PMS controllers, instrumentation, and software, including datasheets • Develop and tailor controls, instrumentation, cybersecurity, and power monitoring technical specifications • Apply BAS, EPMS, and PLC protocols including Modbus, BACnet, and EtherNet/IP • Verify compliance with applicable US codes and engineering standards • Work with templated models, tracking and justifying changes from client models • Coordinate with other disciplines for cohesive designs • Attend project meetings and calls with flexible hours • Manage schedules, budgets, multitasking, and project deadlines • Collaborate with global AECOM teams on high-profile data center projects • Perform hands-on, client-facing work with opportunities for career advancement

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Four years of work experience as an Instrumentation and Control Engineer or controls contractor creating controls submittals • Experience with BAS and PLC control system platforms • Experience with Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (PMS/EPMS) • Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Electrical, Mechanical, or equivalent preferred • Demonstrated experience with colocation and hyperscale data center projects preferred • Experience with US codes and standards preferred • Experience with data center or other mission-critical environments preferred • Experience with Operational Technology Networks preferred • Experience with SCADA platforms and specifying technical cybersecurity requirements preferred • Familiarity with BAS, EPMS, and PLC protocols including Modbus, BACnet, and EtherNet/IP • Ability to verify compliance with applicable US codes and engineering standards/practices • Ability to work flexible hours for project meetings and calls • Must be detail-oriented, technical, adaptable, and able to meet project deadlines and budgets • Sponsorship is not available for this role • Relocation is not available for this role
