📋 Description

• Design automation and SCADA systems for mechanical and electrical systems on complex data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects • Coordinate with mechanical design teams to develop control sequences, diagrams, and points lists • Coordinate with electrical design teams on network architectures and points lists for electrical systems • Coordinate with ICT design teams on structured Ethernet cabling interfaces • Design resilient OT networks using Ethernet and serial networks with wireless, fiber, and copper media • Develop bases of design for BAS, PLC, and PMS controllers, instrumentation, and software • Develop and tailor controls, instrumentation, cybersecurity, and power monitoring technical specifications • Apply BAS, EPMS, and PLC protocols including Modbus, BACnet, and EtherNet/IP • Verify compliance with applicable US codes and engineering standards • Work with templated models, tracking and justifying changes from client models • Coordinate with other disciplines for cohesive designs • Attend project meetings and calls on flexible hours • Manage schedules and meet budget expectations while adapting to project deadlines • Collaborate with global AECOM teams on data center projects • Participate in occasional, scheduled travel for client meetings, milestones, onsite collaboration, or business-critical activities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 6 plus years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Four years of work experience as an Instrumentation and Control Engineer or controls contractor creating controls submittals • Experience with BAS and PLC control system platforms • Experience with electrical Power Monitoring Systems (PMS/EPMS) • Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Electrical, Mechanical, or equivalent preferred • Demonstrated experience with colocation and hyperscale data center projects preferred • Experience with US codes and standards preferred • Experience with data center or other mission-critical environments preferred • Experience with Operational Technology Networks preferred • Experience with SCADA platforms and specifying technical cybersecurity requirements preferred • Ability to work in the US; sponsorship is not available • Ability to attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office • Occasional scheduled travel may be required • Ability to work flexible hours and meet project deadlines and budgets
