• Collaborate with regional and Business Line teams on priority pursuits, including pre-positioning, RFQ and RFP responses, and shortlist interviews • Foster communication and collaboration with marketing teams, client account managers, business lines, and regions • Mentor and coach direct reports and other proposal team members • Allocate workload across the Federal portfolio and drive cross-skilling and upskilling of proposal staff • Manage team performance and deliver compliant, high-quality proposals • Monitor and report progress of must-win pursuits, including win strategies, positioning, proposal progress, and leadership communication • Serve as a color team and/or compliance reviewer for must-win pursuits • Lead team initiatives and special projects, including process streamlining and AI integration • Participate in strategic planning, evaluate marketing intelligence, identify customer concerns, and develop win strategies • Lead complex, priority must-win pursuits from capture through interview stage • Develop schedules, templates, content plans, annotated outlines, initial drafts, compliance matrices, and production plans • Write and edit executive summaries, resumes, experience/past performance, management, and other non-technical proposal sections • Participate in Go/No-Go, capture strategy, and greenlight analyses • Drive compliance with delegation of authority guidelines, capture planning, and positioning activities • Facilitate color team and quality reviews and apply lessons learned • Implement proposal and presentation revisions based on review-team direction • Review and support pursuits led by other proposal managers and serve as a pink- and red-team reviewer • Conduct and analyze debriefs and apply lessons learned • Provide strategic direction and leadership on proposals assigned to others • Report to the Director of Federal Marketing within the National Governments Marketing group
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, plus 8+ years of relevant experience—or an equivalent combination of education and experience • 3+ years of people-management experience • Demonstrated record of recruiting, developing, mentoring, and retaining talent • Working knowledge of the Architecture/Engineering industry, especially AECOM’s U.S. Federal clients, projects, teams, credentials, and competitors • Ability to estimate level of effort, assign and balance workloads, lead diverse teams, and collaborate with Business Lines, Client Account Managers, and marketing leadership • Success leading complex, multi-discipline and/or multi-geography proposals valued at more than $20 million • Strong understanding of proposal and presentation best practices, including key messages, themes, discriminators, and responses aligned to evaluation criteria • Experience applying industry best practices to positioning, client engagement, and business development processes • Excellent writing and editing capabilities with strong command of grammar, tone, and style • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Photoshop • Advanced capability with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently with strong follow-through and attention to detail • Strong interpersonal, communication, diplomacy, problem-solving, and teamwork skills • Discretion with confidential information • APMP and/or SMPS certification preferred • Familiarity with CRM systems; Salesforce experience preferred • U.S. Citizenship required • No sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future
