📋 Description

• Conduct biological compliance monitoring during active construction projects • Survey for special-status wildlife and nesting birds • Prepare technical reports documenting survey and monitoring findings • Prepare biological technical reports and permit application packages • Perform impact analysis for biological and aquatic resources • Conduct natural resource field surveys • Manage relationships with AECOM, client, and construction personnel • Organize project files and track project schedules • Support California surface transportation projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, ecology, or a related environmental science field • 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in biological surveys and monitoring in California • Valid US Driver's License and pre-employment driving record verification required • Independent travel required • US Citizenship required • Knowledge of common and special-status California wildlife species • Experience surveying and monitoring special-status and protected species in Central California • Proficiency in technical writing • Central Coast California plant identification skills • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • 4+ years of relevant experience preferred • Experience conducting aquatic resources delineations desired but not required • Experience supporting transportation projects desired but not required • Experience with California Coastal Commission justification and ESHA analysis desired but not required
