📋 Description
• Design and maintain sheet music assets for the Church in all approved languages using Dorico • Migrate files from Finale to Dorico while developing the Hymns for Home and Church collection in multiple languages • Understand and manage the complexities of the Church music publishing process • Follow established processes for multi-channel publishing of music content • Work within multilevel approval structures to maintain music quality standards • Collaborate with the publishing team to meet client expectations and deliver high-quality, timely, lasting products
🎯 Requirements
• B.S., B.A., or B.M. degree in music, music education, music production or related field • Experience in music engraving demonstrated through a professional portfolio • Experience and fluency in music notation software (Dorico preferred) • Basic understanding of MusicXML markup language and music engraving principles • Proficiency with the Adobe suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat) desirable, not required • Intermediate music performance skills involving organizing productions, leading groups, and performing professionally (keyboard, vocal, instrumental) a big plus • Basic understanding of publishing music in foreign languages and their relationship to rhythm and meter • Ability to effectively use Microsoft suite • Awareness of database software and organization • Ability to write clearly and well in English • Willingness to collaborate in a highly collaborative team while operating independently • Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy • Submit 1–2 pieces showcasing professional music engraving work
