📋 Description

• Support California surface transportation projects as part of AECOM’s Natural Resources team • Conduct biological compliance monitoring during active construction projects • Survey for special-status wildlife and nesting birds • Prepare technical reports documenting survey and monitoring findings • Prepare biological technical reports and permit application packages as needed • Manage relationships with AECOM, client, and construction personnel • Organize project files and track project schedules • Perform impact analysis for biological and aquatic resources • Conduct technical writing, desktop reports, assessments, and natural resource field surveys

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, ecology, or a related environmental science field • 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in biological surveys and monitoring in California • Valid US Driver's License and pre-employment driving record verification • Ability to travel independently • US Citizenship required • Knowledge of common and special-status California wildlife species • Experience surveying and monitoring special-status and protected species in Central California • Proficiency in technical writing • Central Coast California plant identification skills • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills • Strong organization and attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Positive attitude and adaptability to changing priorities
