• Lead, coach, and develop approximately eight engineers with varying levels of full-stack experience • Conduct regular 1:1s, establish development goals, provide feedback, and manage performance • Build individualized development paths and increase engineers’ autonomy • Identify strengths and skill gaps and connect engineers for peer development • Remove roadblocks and provide resources, context, and support • Partner with project and product management on roadmap priorities, work readiness, sequencing, dependencies, and stakeholder communication • Own engineering execution, capacity management, technical quality, and delivery accountability • Identify delivery risks and resource constraints and resolve them across teams • Maintain technical depth to coach engineers, evaluate approaches, and provide technical direction • Guide modern full-stack development using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS • Partner with architecture leadership on application design and technical direction • Translate business requirements into actionable technical work • Support modernization of legacy applications into scalable web-based platforms • Promote engineering practices for architecture, code quality, testing, CI/CD, reliability, and maintainability • Collaborate with engineering leadership, architects, project managers, product partners, and business leaders • Resolve cross-team friction and balance delivery needs with engineering maturity and talent development • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and policies • Perform other assigned duties
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including meaningful experience designing and building production full-stack applications • Demonstrated experience formally leading software engineers, including coaching, performance feedback, delivery accountability, and resource planning • Strong professional experience with React, TypeScript, and Node.js • Strong understanding of modern application development in AWS environments • Ability to provide technical guidance, evaluate engineering approaches, and participate credibly in architecture and design discussions • Experience leading software delivery across competing priorities, dependencies, and resource constraints • Demonstrated ability to coach engineers and help individuals grow technically and professionally • Strong communication skills with engineers, architects, project managers, product partners, and business stakeholders • Direct people-management experience is strongly preferred • Next.js experience • Experience modernizing legacy applications or platforms • Experience leading engineers through a significant technical transformation or upskilling initiative • Serverless AWS architecture experience, including Lambda, SNS/SQS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, or CloudFront • Infrastructure-as-code experience with Pulumi, Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies • Experience with CI/CD and modern DevOps practices • Experience using AI-assisted development tools and workflows • Experience building AI-enabled applications or systems • VBA or Microsoft Access experience • Healthcare, DME, finance, or insurance experience • Maintain HIPAA and patient confidentiality • Maintain regular and reliable attendance as assigned by your schedule
