• Source, develop, and close new business opportunities to consistently exceed quarterly sales targets • Build a deep understanding of Aerospike’s products, value proposition, and competitive landscape • Develop and execute effective territory planning and account management strategies • Proactively engage target prospects and evangelize Aerospike solutions and customer success stories with Development leaders and technical teams • Deliver compelling presentations using industry knowledge, market trends, and customer case studies to clearly articulate Aerospike’s value • Qualify, document, and manage all opportunities within Salesforce (SFDC) • Develop and execute sales strategies in a fast-paced, small-team environment • Provide the highest level of customer service and act as a trusted advisor to customers • Contribute to broader sales strategy and share best practices and success stories with peers • Attend and support regional events, meetups, and customer-facing activities
• 5–7+ years of quota-carrying field sales experience, specifically in database or data management software, SaaS or both • Located in the United States with strong preference for Austin, San Francisco/San Jose Bay Area, or New York • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills • Strong foundational understanding of database technologies and data platforms • Strong ability to guide customers and prospects through sales processes using proven methods like MEDDPICC and Customer Centric Selling • Proven ability to engage, influence, and negotiate with senior leadership and C-level executives across Engineering, IT, and the business • Self-motivated, detail oriented, disciplined team player comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced startup environment • Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales revenue goals
