📋 Description

• Lead preparation and review of SEC filings and disclosure deliverables, including Form 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and registration statements; coordinate disclosure checklists and XBRL tagging • Perform and document technical accounting research on complex or novel transactions • Draft technical accounting memoranda covering facts, applicable guidance, management conclusions, sensitivity analyses, and disclosure requirements • Develop, update, and communicate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls; drive SOX remediation and control testing where applicable • Partner with FP&A and accounting teams on reconciliations, roll forwards, EPS calculations, and supporting schedules for external reporting • Manage external auditor relationships and assist with audit committee preparation and audit requests • Monitor and interpret new FASB, SEC, and industry guidance; lead new accounting standard implementation projects and stakeholder training • Provide day-to-day technical accounting support on transactions, contracts, and system implementations • Advise on M&A, divestitures, equity transactions, joint ventures, and system implementations from a technical accounting perspective • Provide technical accounting training and mentorship; review workpapers and complex journal entries • Perform other duties as required • Maintain regular and reliable full-time attendance • Exhibit professional behavior with internal and external business associates consistent with company policies and practices • Direct and provide expert knowledge in the strategic function of the department • Develop short- and long-term people and organizational strategy • Set performance standards and encourage employee engagement and results through delegation, feedback, goal setting, and performance management • Maintain transparent organizational communication

🎯 Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain/maintain Security Clearance • Deep knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, including producing 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and related disclosure packages • Proven experience writing technical accounting memos and making defensible judgments on complex issues • Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical issues to non-accountants and interacting with auditors and the audit committee • Strong Excel skills and experience with financial reporting systems • Familiarity with XBRL tagging and EDGAR filing process preferred • Ability to direct and provide expert knowledge in the strategic function of the department • Ability to develop short- and long-term people and organizational strategy • Ability to establish credibility, persuade, develop others, and achieve objectives collaboratively • Ability to set performance standards and encourage engagement and results through delegation, feedback, goal setting, and performance management • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field • CPA required • 10+ years of progressive public company accounting experience or Big Four public accounting experience with significant technical accounting and SEC reporting exposure • Experience with ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 805, ASC 718, and income taxes • Hands-on experience with disclosure management and XBRL tools • Ability to meet the stated physical requirements, including constantly sitting and reaching to use computers and office equipment
