📋 Description

• Manage all AGFA imaging equipment in the assigned territory • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and execute field service bulletins • Assist peer Field Service Engineers outside the territory when needed and workload permits • Provide feedback to the US DR product team on technology performance, reliability, serviceability, service quality and design issues • Plan, execute and validate installations with Project Management and the Installation Team • Support sales activities by identifying DR prospects and providing technical support during pre- and post-sales activities • Develop customer relationships and action plans for additional sales, including service agreements, upgrades, professional services and new equipment • Install, remediate and maintain Agfa DR systems, x-ray rooms and trained-on OEM products • Review equipment operation with customers and fulfill training obligations during installations • Respond to and resolve hardware and software problems to ensure customer uptime and satisfaction • Develop technical solutions by working with hospital IT administrators, end users, vendors and support teams • Maintain maximum uptime, performance and efficiency of Agfa systems • Install software and hardware and perform performance analyses • Define problems, verify system defects and apply fixes, workarounds or other resolution techniques • Initiate and follow DR/imaging escalation processes and keep customers and management informed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a technology field is a plus • 5 or more years of direct field work experience in a technical customer support role • Experience with traditional x-ray rooms, digital x-ray equipment and rooms, and computed radiography (CR) systems • 2 to 3 years’ experience in an expert or specialist level role with x-ray technology is highly desired • PACS, RIS and EMR experience is desired • Experience with electronic and electromechanical systems • Experience in networking and operating systems • Knowledge of Agfa software or similar industry software and ability to learn new technologies • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, Lotus Notes and Internet-based knowledge management systems • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills • Proven organizational and time management skills • Experience adapting to change and managing priorities • Strong customer service skills • Previous experience working in a global environment, including networking and building relationships with remote individuals and virtual teams • Understanding of the technical services business, product launch process and healthcare environment • Must be eligible to travel overnight within the US and Canada • Experience with DR support and x-ray room systems • Must be eligible to apply for customer-initiated security clearances such as the US National Agency Check (NAC) • MCSE, Network+ and CIIP certifications are a plus
