📋 Description

• Conduct collaborative research with Senior Analysts focused on beef and adjacent protein and feed markets • Develop, analyze, write, and review research in the beef sector • Produce strategic, data-driven research publications, outlooks, and customer presentations • Support senior analysts in preparing materials for conferences and speaking events • Produce select internal-facing reports and analyses for association leadership and internal stakeholders • Develop skills in analysis, writing, speaking, and customer engagement with Senior Terrain Analysts • Collaborate with Terrain analysts and support projects outside primary sector coverage when appropriate • Contribute input to analysts and leadership on the research agenda and key external messages • Support business growth through research-backed perspectives on market conditions and emerging trends • Assist with data collection, analysis, and forecasting related to beef markets and adjacent sectors • Engage with customers at industry events and participate in industry groups

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field OR Bachelor’s degree in one of those fields and more than 3–5 years of relevant professional experience • Knowledge of U.S. agriculture and desire to deepen understanding of the beef value chain • Basic knowledge of livestock-industry risk management practices and willingness to learn more • Training or experience with agricultural datasets, databases, and financial analysis • Ability to apply statistical, econometric, and analytical methods to real-world market questions • Written and verbal communication skills and willingness to translate analysis into clear insights for external audiences • Ability to communicate with coworkers and stakeholders • Ability to perform basic office tasks and work in a typical office setting • Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer for prolonged durations • Ability to communicate effectively, work independently, and collaborate within a team environment • Ability to lift and move items up to 25 pounds • Availability during established business hours, with occasional evening and/or weekend work as needed • Ability and willingness to travel to support customer engagement • Eligibility to work in the United States; visa sponsorship or transfer unavailable
