📋 Description

• Serve as resident expert on Airbnb’s online data exports platform • Guide and collaborate with internal product teams to effectively use the platform • Lead developers delivering multi-quarter cross-functional projects • Stay current with data ingestion systems and evaluate and incorporate new technologies and methodologies • Improve the existing data ingestion architecture and solutions • Influence the team’s and organization’s long-term roadmap and strategy • Mentor and coach team members • Identify, debug, and fix operational issues proactively • Participate in the Ingestion team on-call rotation • Work on managed solutions for near-real-time change-log access and periodic mutation and full-table snapshots

🎯 Requirements

• 9+ years of relevant industry experience • Proven track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams, setting technical direction, and growing engineers’ careers • Deep expertise in distributed systems, multi-tenant storage, and infrastructure • Experience architecting and scaling high-performance, business-critical systems • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across teams and organizations • Strong judgment on technical trade-offs and ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term maintainability • Experience onboarding to and navigating a broad and complex codebase • Ability to live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity • All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply
