• Develop, implement, and support safety and regulatory compliance initiatives across field operations • Serve as a safety partner and coach to service technicians, drivers, and Area Managers • Travel across the Eastern Region territory to build relationships with AreaBev Managers and Service Technician Managers • Address safety deficiencies on the spot and coach up to 100 drivers and service technicians on safe habits • Travel to Charlotte, NC quarterly for onboarding, driver safety training, and connection with HQ leadership • Design dynamic training materials for field teams • Interpret and enforce DOT, OSHA, EPA, FDA, and Hazmat regulations • Conduct field audits of documentation, safety gear, and operational compliance • Identify safety protocol gaps and collaborate with the Director of Safety to refine procedures • Maintain audit-ready training records and regulatory filings • Respond to field incidents and conduct root-cause investigations using tools such as TapRoot • Oversee injury management cases through recovery and safe return-to-work • Monitor driver behavior software and camera data to proactively mitigate accident risk
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in safety, risk management, or compliance • Direct exposure to Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) distribution • Valid driver’s license • Ability and willingness to travel 50%-70% of the time • Must reside within the Eastern Time Zone • Strong working proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Keep) • Ability to interpret complex regulations, draft clear reports, resolve field conflicts, and communicate effectively under high-pressure situations • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent military experience (preferred) • Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or other recognized safety credentials (preferred) • Active Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or commercial driving experience (preferred) • Certification or experience with Smith System or similar safe-driving programs and TapRoot root-cause analysis (preferred) • Experience using Intelex, Samsara/Lytx, Geotab, TenStreet, or SAP Concur (preferred) • 24/7 availability by phone is required
