📋 Description

• Follow up on open claims thoroughly, accurately, promptly, and with all supporting documentation • Maintain and update billing guidelines, fee schedules, contract rates, and related materials • Review, document, and resolve incoming correspondence and payor calls • Assist with payor-related tasks as needed • Report payor issues and denial trends to the Lead/Supervisor • Appeal and/or rebill underpaid claims and assist with payments as needed • Maintain detailed and accurate account documentation • Oversee accounts receivable • Perform other duties as assigned • Travel: 0% • No supervisory responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; and one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience • 1-2 years’ medical billing and claims reimbursement experience (preferred) • Knowledge of Government, Commercial and Private payers (preferred) • Knowledge of medical and billing terminology (preferred) • Knowledge of HIPAA and other industry-specific regulations (preferred) • Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration ability • Excellent organizational skills; detail-oriented; ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines • Intermediate customer service and phone skills • Excellent problem-solving skills • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook • Regular scheduled attendance • No certificates, licenses, or registrations required
