• Provide regional clinical leadership and support across Air Methods' Midwest Region • Partner with clinical, operational, medical, safety, risk, compliance, and education teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care • Support compliance with Air Methods standards, CAMTS accreditation requirements, and applicable regulations • Identify operational and clinical improvement opportunities and implement best practices across assigned bases • Monitor clinical performance through chart reviews, documentation audits, reported events, clinical data analysis, dashboard review, and performance monitoring • Identify clinical risks and recurring issues and collaborate on corrective actions • Participate in clinical investigations, remediation efforts, and follow-up action plans • Escalate significant clinical concerns to the Clinical Director II and appropriate stakeholders • Facilitate Medical Director engagement in clinical review processes and communicate clinical concerns, trends, and quality initiatives • Prepare assigned bases for CAMTS accreditation and re-accreditation activities • Guide, coach, and mentor Clinical Base Leads and clinical team members • Contribute to clinical hiring, candidate screening, scenario-based assessments, and interviews • Provide performance feedback and recommendations for annual evaluations and development planning • Oversee medical supply utilization and expenditures for assigned bases • Ensure clinical licenses, certifications, and credentials remain current and properly documented • Support billing, operational, and regulatory compliance through accurate credential management • Travel to assigned bases, training activities, audits, and operational needs
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Management, Nursing, EMS, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Graduate of an accredited Nursing or Paramedic program • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in critical care, emergency nursing, or EMS • Previous flight nurse or flight paramedic experience required; critical care ground transport experience may be considered • Prior leadership or management experience within an air medical or transport program preferred • Current specialty certification required: Nurses: CFRN, CCRN, CEN, or CTRN; Paramedics: FP-C or CC-P • Current RN or Paramedic license in the applicable state(s) of practice • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and Approved Air Medical Trauma Credential certifications • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Strong understanding of clinical operations and financial stewardship • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and responsibilities • Sound decision-making and critical thinking skills • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills • Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders • Maintain regular and reliable attendance • Travel as required to support assigned bases, training activities, audits, and operational needs
