📋 Description

• Lead new employee orientation, including oversight of schedules, base assignments, and area-specific protocol development • Provide leadership to orientees and preceptors while serving as a role model • Collaborate with RCEM and RCD on new employees’ clinical preceptorship • Maintain shared education resources for flight crews across the region • Teach and assist in simulation labs, invasive labs, and advanced learning technology programs • Lead content development and continuing education initiatives for accreditation, regulation, and credentialing compliance • Support management decisions affecting air medical practice and plan educational programming for new and changing care programs • Assist with policy and procedure development to maintain clinical quality • Develop simulation and learning technology scenarios to improve clinical competency • Evaluate clinical performance using evidence-based assessment frameworks and statistical analysis • Assess educational requirements across the region and acquired programs • Lead annual competency training, protocol testing, and initial training for new medical equipment and procedures • Assist in developing and revising medical standards and guidelines • Maintain accreditation and support successful reaccreditation • Develop region-specific guidance for the Training Blueprint • Participate in committees and workgroups to affect change in patient care • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN); and five or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience • 4+ years of flight experience required • 2+ years as an educator or instructor • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of collaboration at all levels • Ability to be a team player with a professional attitude • Ability to multi-task efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects with strong attention to detail • Experience in high-fidelity simulation is preferred • Clinical subject matter expertise in one or more specialty areas (e.g., ventilation, airway management, mechanical circulatory devices, resuscitation, high-risk obstetrics, pediatrics, or neonatal management) • Ability to participate in and rotate administrator on call for specialty equipment and high-risk patient populations • Skill in navigating and communicating in a complex environment • Ability to foster achievement across multiple disciplines of education/development goals and objectives • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook • Proficient in Smartsheet or other software as a service (SaaS) • Flight Nurse or Flight Paramedic specialty certification (CAMTS compliant) required • CFRN or FP-C certification required • Minimum 1 current instructor card (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, PHTLS, ITLS, TNCC, TNATC) • Obtain instructor status for all AHA-required courses (BLS, ACLS, PALS) within 3 months of hire
