📋 Description

• Lead professional services engagements for organizations running Apple at scale • Design, deploy, and hand over Apple management platforms, including MDM, identity, patching, security tooling, and integrations • Own services engagements end to end by scoping, planning, running, documenting, and closing projects • Manage personal time and projects with flexibility and autonomy • Troubleshoot escalated issues using packet captures, log analysis, protocol-level MDM debugging, and macOS troubleshooting • Understand and deploy automations, vendor API integrations, custom agents, and deployment tooling • Challenge customers when proposed plans will not survive production and recommend better approaches • Run scoping calls, uncover business drivers, and explain project requirements in plain language • Support small and medium business managed services customers • Provide technical support and guidance, record notes, update documentation, and resolve tickets within SLA targets • Mentor engineers and colleagues • Help shape new products and services based on field experience • Perform responsibilities in alignment with Alectrona’s values, mission, and purpose • Promote a positive, inclusive workplace

🎯 Requirements

• High mid-level to senior-level role • Deep experience managing Apple devices in varied environments • Solid hands-on expertise in at least two enterprise Apple device management platforms • Ability to quickly learn additional platforms, including Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, Omnissa Workspace ONE, Fleet, Iru (formerly Kandji), Addigy, and Mosyle • Understanding of the Apple management stack, including MDM, Declarative Device Management, Automated Device Enrollment, Apple Business, APNs, configuration profiles, TCC and PPPC, FileVault, code signing and notarization, and Platform SSO • Experience migrating fleets between management platforms • Confidence writing and troubleshooting Shell scripts • Familiarity with Git, code review, CI, testing, and packaging • Ability to leverage APIs, webhooks, and automation workflows • Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, 802.1X, VPN, proxies, and TLS inspection • Experience with Platform SSO, WebAuthn, Entra ID, Okta, Google Workspace, Active Directory, SAML, OIDC, SCIM, Kerberos, and certificate authorities • Knowledge of CIS Benchmarks, NIST 800-53, SOC 2, ISO 27001, endpoint detection tooling, and vulnerability management • Experience delivering paid professional services or consulting to external customers • Experience supporting end users and small businesses in a managed services operation • Ability to explain complex technical work to non-technical audiences • Experience participating in discovery, kickoff, and project scoping calls • Fluent English language proficiency (required) • Four-year degree, or equivalent in experience and knowledge • Ability to obtain relevant certifications quickly; certifications are expected within the first few months if not already held
