📋 Description

• Provide 24/7 on-call field service labor, troubleshooting, and service training at customer locations • Service mechanical, electrical, and electronic components including decanters, high-speed separators, and heat exchangers • Manage travel costs and operating expenses associated with field service visits • Perform preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and warranty repairs • Execute basic maintenance and minor repairs on selected products at customer sites • Investigate and resolve basic technical problems at customer sites • Prepare assigned service jobs according to the FSE Handbook • Follow up on customer actions and promises • Write service reports on site and obtain customer signatures • Update service execution IT systems • Report unsafe practices and safety incidents according to local procedures • Capture installed-base information and communicate sales leads to the sales organization • Recommend additional spare parts to customers • Execute services in Service Centers as required

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s degree with a strong mechanical background • Over 5 years of experience in similar roles • Desirable expertise in transmission systems • Competent mechanical skills and aptitude • Ability to communicate operational and safety parameters for Alfa Laval equipment to customers • Customer service and sales orientation • Excellent interpersonal skills • Strong verbal and written skills • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Basic PC utilization skills in Word and Excel • Ability to learn and use systems for administration of service and expense reports • Perform jobs in line with OHSA requirements • Complete established safety training programs • Travel availability of 70% • Ability to reside in the US or have an established presence in the area is currently prioritized
