📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations using evidence-based assessment tools • Diagnose and treat mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, OCD, ADHD, and personality disorders • Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychiatric medications in accordance with clinical guidelines and state regulations • Assess treatment effectiveness, side effects, and patient adherence • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans with the interdisciplinary clinical team • Coordinate care with therapists and other healthcare providers, including referrals when clinically appropriate • Provide patient education about diagnoses, treatment options, and prescribed medications • Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough clinical documentation • Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within a virtual care environment

🎯 Requirements

• Active Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in applicable states • Multistate licensure preferred, with primary clinical focus on Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC • Minimum of two (2) years of experience practicing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner • Experience treating patients ages 13 and older • Strong clinical knowledge of psychiatric disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches • Demonstrated proficiency in psychiatric medication management • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport in a virtual care setting • Commitment to deliver compassionate, culturally responsive, and patient-centered care • Experience with Athena One EHR and remote clinical workflows • Active licensure, DEA registration, and prescribing authority in all states where patients are served • Providers practicing in Virginia who require physician collaboration must obtain and maintain a collaborating physician at their own expense • Compliance with applicable state and federal regulations
